Songwriting & Production

BeatHouse International is a production company started by long time UK resident Ian Nilsen.

Ian Nilsen is an experienced songwriter/producer & artist as well as serial music entrepreneur, originally from Scandinavia, but based between London, Berlin and Copenhagen over his career.

Always a true musician at heart, he quickly began writing songs both for his own bands and others. He was in particular inspired after seeing the BritPop mania evolving in London in the mid-nineties by hanging out with the biggest bands and understanding how much music means to so many people.

His style in radio/streaming friendly pop, based on classic UK/US songwriting and 2019 production style coming out of London, New York and Los Angeles.

His catalogue is 100% self published and amounts to approx. 100 songs.

“I will always be grateful for those who advised me to do my own thing” says Ian, “because even if – as fantastic as it is to write and produce for others all the time – composing, recording and finally performing your own songs as well will always be something special. I personally adore the 80’s, but I also love ‘now’. I adore song-writing and songs that stick to your brain.”
